Digital Producer
Appointed after creating and posting a ‘TikTok CV’ on Twitter.

Working alongside another Digital Producer across Channel 5 News’ digital output:
• Create and schedule graphics for Instagram - this includes pull quotes, the main stories of the day, and short videos our audience would be interested in; increase of 800+ followers and engagement since taking over the account in August.
• Tweet and schedule breaking news and wires as they come out throughout the day, with many of the tweets being featured in Twitter's Explore page through moments which resulted in a 10K follower increase in less than a year - e.g. our Everyday Racism special.
• Find and edit, schedule and post videos from social media or wires.
• Output the show as-live on Twitter using Media Studio.
Saturday Mash-Up!
Interactive Researcher
Responsible for the show's website and social reach - this included collecting and reviewing UGC content, creating engaging content for the child-facing audience, and posting as-live during the show on Instagram.
Created quizzes weekly using quiz engine Riddle - with some puzzles becoming some of the best performing on the site's indexes. Also clipped up the best-bits of each show to post on the website (which was later upped to daily videos once Covid-19 closed schools, to reflect the audiences website usage).
Also created content on CBBC's Instagram, both on stories and grid posts. Nearly every week stories would hit a total of over 80,000 impressions.

Bollywood Tamasha
Presenter
Had the opportunity to have my own slot on BBC Radio Leicester's weekly Thursday Asian programme, Bollywood Tamasha.
Some highlights include interviewing special guests, such as Nish Kumar, and highlighting prominent issues young South Asians may face, such as language barriers, cultural differences in dating, religious occasions, and influential desi women.

Also co-hosted and also produced the show several times.
BBC Leicester
Digital Journalism Apprentice
During my placement with the online team I pitched, researched, shot and edited stories to suit the online remit and younger-facing audience.
I took control of the Instagram account when we first gained control, gaining 400+ followers in the first month from creating engaging/interactive stories.
Also made videos for Facebook such as assisting with 'Wheelchair Clubbing', which was later reposted by accounts such as BBC Three.
